Meet The Founder

Navia Nguyen is a Vietnamese-American entrepreneur and founder of AMO — Bali’s most significant wellness group. Born in Phu Quoc, Vietnam, she arrived in New York at three years old as a refugee of the Vietnam War. Discovered as a model at fifteen, she became the first Asian model to appear in the Pirelli Calendar, was featured in Sports Illustrated, named one of People magazine’s fifty most beautiful people, and worked with Chanel, Dior, Karl Lagerfeld, John Galliano, and Marc Jacobs. She transitioned into acting and film production before founding AMO in Bali in 2008. Today AMO operates four venues across 3,000 square metres in Canggu — AMO Bathhouse, AMO Spa, AMO Vitality, and AMO Cafe — alongside an in-house product line and B2B services for hotels, spas, and villas.
